We initially came to this area to buy Bulgarian Properties as an investment to augment badly performing pension funds. We had already invested wisely in Spain and still own a delightful villa in the mountains where we can enjoy sun and sangria 24/7. We never considered living in Bulgaria, but since our first visit have become more and more enchanted with the location, the warm friendly people and the diversity of leisure activities. We now spend most of our time there living in the village where we purchased our first Bulgarian Properties. The smallest of our houses has been expertly restored by our next-door neighbour Svetan, a builder of repute who with his lovely wife and small team of local labourers turned a "shed" into a Pied-a-Terre to be proud of.
